IDF says 320 aid trucks entered Gaza alongside UN fuel tankers
COGAT efforts to facilitate humanitarian aid for the civilian population of GazaPosted on X @cogatonline
In a joint statement, the Israeli Defense Forces and the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) said that more than 320 humanitarian aid trucks entered Gaza on Monday through the Kerem Shalom and Zikim crossings.
According to the statement, an additional 350 trucks were collected and distributed by the UN and other international organizations, while the contents of several hundred more remain on the Gazan side of the crossings, awaiting collection.
The statement also noted that tankers of UN fuel have been allowed to enter Gaza to support the operation of essential humanitarian systems. "We will continue expanding our efforts to facilitate humanitarian aid for the civilian population of Gaza," the IDF and COGAT said, emphasizing the ongoing coordination with international partners.
The announcement comes amid heightened tensions in the region and a significant increase in humanitarian needs, as the crossings serve as the main conduit for supplies into Gaza.

Medical sources in the Gaza Strip report that since Tuesday morning, 28 Palestinians have been killed by IDF gunfire, 24 of whom were in Gaza City. Dozens more were injured, most of them as a result of an attack on a residential building in the Tel Hawa neighborhood in the west of the city. According to the Palestinian Red Cross, 28 wounded people were evacuated to Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza since the early hours, with medical teams having difficulty providing treatment due to the acute shortage of equipment and medicine.
According to Arab and Palestinian media outlets, nine were killed in an attack on a house in Tel al-Hawa in western Gaza City belonging to the Tlaib and Fora families, in addition to seven killed in an attack on a house in Sheikh Radwan, northern Gaza City. There are also reports of four deaths near the aid distribution point on the Nitzamir axis, according to Al-Awada Hospital, and five deaths near the aid point in Khan Yunis, according to Nasser Hospital. The attacks on Sheikh Radwan, which have intensified in recent days, are the reason for the Gaza Municipality's announcement.
At the same time, the Gaza Health Authority is warning of a worsening hunger crisis: in August alone, 185 deaths were recorded due to malnutrition, including 70 since a state of famine was officially declared in the Gaza Strip. It was also reported that about 43,000 children under the age of five and about 55,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women are suffering from malnutrition.
Gaza Municipality is also warning of a possible collapse of the city's sewage system. According to the municipality, the military escalation is preventing maintenance teams from reaching the sewage stations in the Al-Bukhara neighborhood and the eastern Zeitoun neighborhood. The municipality called on international organizations to intervene immediately to prevent neighborhoods in the north and south of the city from being flooded with sewage.

IDF: Dozens of Hamas militants killed in Gaza, military targets struck
IDf documentation of an attack on military infrastructure and terrorists in the Gaza StripPosted on X @idfonline
"Over the past month, a joint operation by Division 99 and the Shin Bet has neutralized dozens of militants plotting attacks against Israeli Defense Forces in northern and central Gaza," the IDf spokesperson said in a statement on Tuesday.
Among those killed was Ahmed Abu Daf, who had served since 2024 as deputy company commander in the Zaytoun Battalion. "In this role, he planned, directed, and executed dozens of ambushes and attack plots against IDF forces, and actively recruited additional militants for Hamas."
"The operation targeted key operatives involved in planning terror attacks. Dozens of terrorists operating against IDF forces in the northern and central Gaza Strip were eliminated."
"In a separate operation, Taleb Sidqi Taleb Abu Atiwi, commander of the Nukhba unit that infiltrated Israeli territory on October 7, was also killed," the spokesperson added.
"Air Force aircraft, guided by the 990 Fire Brigade and coordinated with ground forces, struck and destroyed military structures in the Shuja'iyya and Zaytoun areas," the statement continued. "These locations were used as meeting points for Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad operatives planning attacks against IDF forces in Gaza."
"The IDF continues its operations in the Gaza Strip to protect the citizens of the State of Israel, targeting both terrorists and infrastructure used to plan attacks."

Hebron mayor arrested, West Bank district under curfew
Palestinian media outlets have reported that Tayseer Abu Sneina, the mayor of Hebron, was arrested by Israeli Defense Forces during a raid on his home. According to these reports, Abu Sneina was taken for questioning at a nearby location before being detained, with the reasons for his arrest remaining unclear.
His son, Meza, who spoke to the media, stated that the family is unaware of his father's current whereabouts. Additionally, it has been reported that a curfew has been imposed on the Hebron district since Monday, with all entrances and exits to the area blocked by Israeli forces.
In a formal statement, the Hebron Municipal Council condemned the arrest, stating that Abu Sneina was taken during a large-scale military raid that "violated his privacy, damaged his property, and caused significant material harm."
The council added: "This cruel targeting is directed not only at the mayor himself but also at the will of Hebron's residents and its elected institutions. It represents a blatant violation of the democratic process and the right of our people to manage their affairs and serve their city freely and with dignity."
"While the Municipal Council holds the occupation authorities fully responsible for Mr. Abu Sneina's safety, it calls on all international organizations, human rights groups, and humanitarian agencies to assume their legal and moral responsibility, exert pressure for his immediate release, and put an end to these severe violations against the city's leaders and residents."

Itamar Ben-Gvir responds to Belgium’s recognition of a Palestinian state: 'Europe will feel the terror on its own flesh'

Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir strongly condemned Belgium's decision to recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations.
In a statement released Tuesday, Ben-Gvir said: "European countries that indulge in naivety and surrender to Hamas' manipulations will ultimately experience terror firsthand. Here in Israel, there were those who once believed such illusions – and the result was rape, murder, and massacre. Instead of rewarding terror, the free world must unite against it."

Dozens of doctors blocked traffic on the northbound lanes of the Ayalon Highway near Tel Aviv on Tuesday morning, calling for the release of the hostages and an end to the war.
"We can't take Alon Ohayon into an operating room and restore his eyesight, or give Eitan Horn or Matan Zangauker the treatment they need to survive," the protesters said in a statement. "We can't heal the bodies or minds of the remaining hostages. The best treatment we can give them today is to stop everything and cry out on their behalf. We will not normalize a malignant state of abandonment and the breaking of the moral values that are the foundation of our lives."
The protesters were removed by police.

Belgium to recognize Palestinian state at UN in September, sanction Israel
Belgium will formally recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations General Assembly this month, Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot announced on Tuesday, joining a growing wave of Western governments backing Palestinian sovereignty.
Prevot said Belgium would sign onto the New York Declaration, a diplomatic initiative led by France and Saudi Arabia, aimed at paving the way for a two-state solution.
"In light of the humanitarian tragedy unfolding in Palestine, particularly in Gaza, and in response to the violence perpetrated by Israel in violation of international law, given its international obligations, including the duty to prevent any risk of genocide, Belgium had to take strong decisions to increase pressure on the Israeli government and Hamas terrorists," he wrote on X.
"This is not about sanctioning the Israeli people but about ensuring that their government respects international and humanitarian law and taking action to try to change the situation on the ground."
Prevot described Belgium's recognition as a firm political signal against Israel's expanding settlement enterprise and military presence in Palestinian territories.
Belgium will introduce 12 national sanctions, including a ban on importing products from settlements, a review of procurement contracts with Israeli companies, restrictions on consular assistance to Belgians living in illegal settlements under international law, potential judicial prosecutions, bans on overflights and transit, and the designation of two extremist Israeli ministers, several violent settlers, and Hamas leaders as "persona non grata" in the country.

Rep. Jerry Nadler, the longtime New York congressman who has been a leading Jewish Democratic critic of Israel's rightward shift, announced he will not seek reelection.
Nadler, the longest-serving Jewish member of Congress whose district is the most Jewish in the country, told the New York Times in his retirement announcement that he would join a growing number of Democrats attempting to block the transfer of offensive weapons to Israel.
"I don't know what to say at this point," he said, noting he would still support the supply of defensive weaponry. "I can't defend what Israel is doing."
Nadler added that Israel, under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's leadership, was committing mass murder and war crimes in Gaza "without question," though he said he disagrees with terming Israel's actions a genocide.
